(More customer reviews)I read that it worked pretty well, and was pleased to find it really does. I've not seen any problems with this, and it retains it's programming even when the vehicle battery dies and is disconnected.
I used this in my first stereo install, paired with a Pioneer DEH-P5200HD from another site, in my 1999 Honda Accord V6 EX with 3 button (1 wire) steering wheel controls.
Only needed to solder 3 wires with this device: Positive (accessory) power, negative (ground), and steering wheel wire, listed in wiring diagram available at [...] They provide great vehicle specific installation & wiring / troubleshooting guides on their site. Everything was auto-detected & required no reprogramming.
Volume up & down work just as well as they did with the factory stereo, the center button works as seek forward by default. I think this one depends on the receiver you pair it with. I'm considering reprogramming the center button to better suite my tastes, but it should be a breeze.
Check the website for your car, then buy this. It's definitely worth it. I've never tried the older PAC adapters, but from what I read, this is WAAAY better. I couldn't be happier with it.
Totally worth it.
